Saturday's drill was the second the chapter has arranged to prepare their volunteers for a real disaster but have a goal of making the drills annual according to Pat Curry, executive director of both the Crossroads and Rio-Colorado chapters of the American Red Cross. The goal of the assessments made by the volunteers is to report to the national chapter of the Red Cross the amount of aid needed in the area following a disaster.
